Want to view your current weather and forecast? Click on the "Sun" as shown below.
This is what will appear. To change your weather location, click on the green icon as indicated below.
Among the many features of WikMail, are the Postcards. They may be used as "greeting cards", they may be created to share a photo, a quick note, or in combination with the letters.
When creating a new email if you choose to insert a Postcard (referred to as Greeting Cards), simply click on the word "Cards". If you don't see the word "Cards" due to your viewing area, then click on the arrow at the bottom of the "Inserts" Smiley Face icon on your tool bar, then select "Cards". It will look like this:
A new window will open (see below) and you will be able to choose your card from the list which appears on the left. Once you select your card, customize it by typing your message, add a photo, etc., then choose "Insert". (See below) After your card is inserted in your mail message window, you can choose to center it or add a background. (See Tip below)
Tip: If you would like to add a background to the postcard, from background images you have saved on your computer, first choose Background Image, Sound and Scripts from the menu of your email window. (See below) When you find the background you want to use, click on it to highlight, then click on Insert. Make sure you click on Show Background on your email menu. (See below) Using a background is a nice addition to your postcard selection. For further instructions on the Postcards, click on Help from the WikMail Menu.
Need to add a personalized mailbox in order to move and/or save certain emails? Simply right click on the current mailbox, i.e., INBOX. Choose "Add". Type in the name you want for this new mailbox. Put a check mark next to "Make it a folder". Click Accept. Your new mailbox has been created. I chose to only make what I refer to as sub-folders. (I named mine Personal and another for Business, etc.) To do this, right click on the Inbox, choose Add and give it a name, and this time DO NOT put a check mark next to "Make it a folder". See below as to how mine appears. You may now highlight one or several of your emails and simply drag them to the appropriate folder or sub-folder.
While advertisement is a good thing, some choose not to have the WikMail advertisement at the bottom of their emails. To disable this, go to E-Mail Tools, click on Signatures. A new window will open. Highlight your mail account, then select None, then select Validate.
If you are like me, you have tons of signature tags and/or little graphics saved on your computer. Here's how you can add your favorite ones to your WikMail's Images Library. Now, when creating an email it will be easy to insert them into your message, by clicking on Image Library (see below) and selecting the one you want. I set up a few folders, i.e., Smileys-dd, Cartoons.
1. All of the files associated with WikMail may be found in ONE place (a great feature). Most
likely that location will be C:\Program Files\WikMail
2. The Image Library folder will most likely be found here C:\Program Files\WikMail\Image_Library
3. Locate the images you have saved on your computer that you would like to add to WikMail's
Image Library folder. You can simply drag/drop them, or copy (Ctrl/C) to the Image_Library
folder.
